We have set up a digital marketplace for equipment rental companies. This way, contractors can find the desired equipment in one spot, reducing the time dedicated to surf through different companies. For the equipment rental companies we are an important revenue source of business and opportunities. Additionally we are developing SaaS solutions for both parties of the Marketplace. Contractors will have a digital site to store their info regarding the equipment rental requests, the set up of a tender offer to contract different machinery among different renters plus a complete set of data (quotations, machinery type, preferred suppliers). For the Equipment rental companies, the SaaS will cover their own digital marketplace, machine inventory, invoice management and maintenance modules.

Equipzilla is not linked to specific construction projects. The marketplace and SaaS can be used by big contractors and SMB’s. The scope of the projects ranges from big infrastructure projects (railways, highways, building complex) to refurbishments or minor works
Experienced benefits of digitalisation
We are increasing dramatically the number of requests made by contractors in our platform. More and more workforce deployed in the construction sites jump to the internet to fulfil their needs of machinery rental. Equipzilla is generating +2000 requests monthly of companies and individuals looking to rent equipment for their projects. So far we have been able to channel the demand thus reducing the time consumption to rent equipment. Additionally our staff of experts in machinery rental can assess the contractors in deciding which piece of equipment can serve better their construction needs.
Tips for effective implementation
From the demand side, the response has been terrific. We get more than 2000 requests of equipment rental every month. We still need more equipiment rental companies in the marketplace in order to serve better the contractors and cover their needs. We also want to increase the info available to the contractors so they will be able to rent the machinery more accurately, faster at better rates. From the supply side the increase in the number of renters is growing although not as fast as we envisioned. To increase the offer side, we have start providing equipment rental companies with different digital tools to manage better their inventory and operations.
